A Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or similar.
 

A Master's Degree in Microbiology or similar.

Microbiology and molecular biology skills applied to environmental microorganisms.
 

Knowledge of polymer biodegradation and plastic materials in marine environments.
 

Skills in preparing, handling and characterising polymeric materials.
 

Skills in designing and developing experimental methodologies to study biodegradation processes.
 

A solid command of English would be a plus.

Compensation may be higher where the successful candidate accredits recognised professional experience.

• Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points).
 

• Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points).
 

• Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).
 

• Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).

Candidates who hold the qualification corresponding to the required category in the job offer with a non-EU degree, if selected, must present a certificate of equivalence of their non-EU qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, in order to proceed with their hiring.

iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI).
 

iv. One or more expert members in the topic pertaining to recruitment, where appropriate.
 

v. The head of the Management Office for the Research Promotion and Human Resources Programme (or person s/he delegates), acting as secretary.
