The FWF’s programs offer international researchers a wide range of options for acquiring funding to conduct their projects at Austrian universities and research institutions. Choose the Austrian Academy of Sciences as host institution: The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) is Austria’s largest non-university research and science institution. The OeAW operates 27 research institutes in the field of innovative basic research in the arts and humanities and the social and natural sciences.The OeAW is especially committed to the sustainable support of promising young talents. Through its research institutes the Academy offers diverse opportunities for young researchers. The OeAW also supports highly qualified young scholars from beyond its own institutes by awarding fellowships and prizes.

APART-USA

The APART-USA funding program of the Austrian Academy of Sciences is supporting outstanding postdoctoral researchers working at a US university or non-university research institution who wish to relocate their research activities to excellent research locations in Austria.

The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is Austria's premier funding institution for industry-related research and development. Many of FFG's programmes welcome international cooperation partners, creating opportunities for global collaboration in research, development, and innovation.

FFG also forms the hub of all Austrian National Contact Points for Horizon Europe, the EU’s key funding Programme for Research and Innovation. Thereby, FFG offers direct access to expert information, training and coaching towards a competitive EU proposal.
