About
We are excited to invite you to the 4th Webinar in our Hub. This session will focus on how wellbeing can be integrated into the support provided to PhD candidates, with insights from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Ravaka Ramanamisata will open with key takeaways from a university-wide project aimed at strengthening resilience and promoting a healthier approach to academic careers. She will then be joined by Ann-Kristin Hult and Jenny Mattsson, Language Advisors at the Unit for Academic Language.
Together, they will discuss why they expanded their academic writing support to include wellbeing and why universities should address the writing–wellbeing link for PhD candidates. Drawing on their workshop “Doctoral writing and well-being – How to make the writing process more manageable and rewarding,” they will share how wellbeing aspects are woven into writing guidance.
Topics include:
- Why academic writing support for PhDs is often overlooked
- How PhD students and supervisors responded to the inclusion of wellbeing
- What others can do at their own institutions.
