Vienna's English Theatre

The English Theater was founded in 1963. It is the oldest English-language theatre in continental Europe.


The Burgtheater is one of Vienna's oldest theatres, built from 1874 to 1888. It has a leading position in the dramatic arts of the German-speaking countries.

The Vienna State Opera is one of the best opera places in the world. It offers a diverse program, with above 60 operas and ballet performances on around 300 days per season.

The Musikverein is Vienna's most prominent centre for classical music.


Porgy & Bess is a jazz and music club with a diverse program, and one of the top ten jazz clubs in Europe. In addition to the club program with concerts of Austrian and international musicians, the club also concentrates on modern music.
